For Christmas I got this one thing I only recently started to want, a zen garden. I have no idea why I started to want one so badly, I just did. It seemed like a relaxing thing to do, sit and rake some nice, white sand. Unfortunately my zen garden isn't so zen anymore. I had reservations about setting it up in my room because I was afraid one of my cats might mistake it for a litter box, but it's too small and they're not that dumb. One thing they do like to do though is sit in it and look out the window. Sure, I'll admit cat pawprints in the sand is pretty cute, but not when it leads to sand spilling out over the sides or onto my bed. I think they also like to chew on and rearrange the tiny plaster cranes it came with. Luckily I've read up on how to perform the heimlich maneouver on a cat. It also came with some pretty nice rocks, which have somehow fallen between the wall and bed. I need to pack it back up and put it into storage until I can move out and have a cat-free apartment.
P.S. Timmy and Jimmy, if you're reading this, I still love you.
